After years of unpredictable ups and downs in the world of urgent care, we are seeing some more stable patterns return. While waves of Covid are still occurring and having their influence in one part of the country or another, the increasing stability gives us the chance to consider longer-term business plans. Hello, this is Ira Pasternack with Web for Doctors, and in this video I’m going to provide an overview of a four-part series articles that I wrote about urgent care marketing Strategy in 2023. Okay, so in part one of the series, we set the stage starting with an overview of the market conditions that are affecting the urgent care industry this year and discuss how things have changed as we come out of the Covid Pandemic.
Then we discuss some significant marketing tactic that should be leveraged along with digital marketing. Now, don’t get me wrong, of course, digital marketing is a major part of what we do at Web for Doctors and is vital to most urgent care marketing plans. That said, many practices these days we find are over-dependent on digital tactics and lack focus on some of on local or community marketing. So the rest of this article is a good first step in how your urgent care

practice can leverage these local marketing tactics. By the way, we’ll use local marketing and community marketing pretty much interchangeably throughout this series.

So there we go with the bottom of the article. We’ve got local marketing, community marketing, and then in part two of the series we go deeper into community marketing.

Much of this article will be helpful to any urgent care, but this one will be especially helpful to those of you who offer occupational medicine. If you don’t have Occ Med and you’re not really interested in it, this article still has real value in relation to community marketing for a pure urgent care model. But if you do offer occ med or you’re considering it, then this one is definitely for you. Now occupational medicine is, and so I’ll just quickly we kind of go through a bunch of different places you can think about as you are focusing on your occupational medicine.

Now, occupational medicine is probably the most common specialty that’s coupled with urgent care, but of course it’s not the only one. So in part three of the series, we look at a variety of other specialties that can be integrated into an urgent care practice or that you can partner with. In general, you’ll be able to operate these out of the same facility and or with an overlapping team of people.

Now don’t worry if you aren’t ready to add an entire new specialty into your urgent care. We do address specialties at the beginning of this article, but then in the second half of the article, we also address a variety of products and services that can be incrementally added into your urgent care model without having to add an entire new specialty.

So overall, in the first three articles in the series, we discussed some of the more complex elements of an urgent care marketing strategy, and then in part four,

we put this all together and get to the meat of developing your urgent care marketing plan. So in this last article, we cover the strategic planning process that starts with a discovery process, which you’ll want to go through with your team in order to gather all the information you need. And then we present an outline of what a typical urgent care marketing plan should include. Okay, so there you have it.
